Responsibilities
Review and compilation of project specifications and procedures, engineering schedules, assignment of resources and estimated costs
Preparation of design concepts, including calculations, layouts and prototype testing of components, assemblies and equipment
Preparation of design layouts for systems and components
Preparation of engineering details and drawings, using computer aided design (CAD) systems
Preparation of bills of materials and engineering specifications or other detailed documentation to record design requirements
Ensures that design details are cost effective, conform to customer requirements and company standards. Verifies and validates work done by application engineers, drafters and design engineers
Oversees the technical activities of engineers, designers and drafters, and takes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of engineering work outputs.
Requirements
